George Moreno

I was born to an immigrant family from Mexico and grew up in the Tri-Cities. My family is everything to me, and I truly enjoy each day with my son, partner, and extended family. If I am not working, I am with them having family barbeques, watching my son learn new skills and words, and traveling the country.

I grew up in a highly underrepresented community and nothing gives me more satisfaction than having a positive impact on others. My parents immigrated to Washington more than 25 years ago and worked hard to provide the American Dream for my siblings and myself. I learned hard work from them–picking apples, berries, and other fruits in Eastern Washington. A labor and weather intensive experience not for the faint of heart. Of course, this experience gave me all the motivation I needed to become a proud first-generation college graduate.

I earned a B.A. degree in Political Science and Master’s degree in Public Administration before attending law school. In 2017, I graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.). Since then I have been advocating for people in my community and helping them with their immigration needs. It has been a very fun and worthwhile journey.
