Family Law Attorney
Universal Legal PLLC is accepting resumes for a Family Law Attorney to join our growing practice. Prior family law experience is preferred; however, our highest priority is finding the right fit—an attorney who is motivated, thoughtful, and committed to providing exceptional legal representation. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Washington and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, sound judgment, sharp analytical skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Our firm serves clients throughout King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, modifications, relocations, guardianships, step-parent adoptions, domestic violence cases, and post-decree issues.
Universal Legal emphasizes work-life balance and maintains an energetic and supportive office environment. The work we do is stressful enough—the workplace should not be. We offer a hybrid work-from-home option, health benefits, IRA benefits, paid time off, and competitive compensation. Highly motivated and committed candidates would also be offered profit sharing and/or a partnership track.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking autonomy in their practice while still receiving meaningful support, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume to office@universallegalfirm.com. All inquiries will be kept confidential.
Family Law Paralegal
Universal Legal PLLC is seeking a Family Law Paralegal to join our team. Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have at least three years of experience, including a minimum of two years in family law. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, communicates effectively with clients, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a busy practice.
The position involves drafting and filing pleadings, noting and calendaring motions, communicating with clients, assisting with trial preparation, and supporting the assigned attorney on a day-to-day basis. Proficiency with family law software and electronic filing systems in King, Pierce, and Thurston Counties is required.
Our firm prioritizes work-life balance and a positive, respectful office culture. We offer a hybrid work-from-home option, health benefits, IRA benefits, paid time off, and competitive compensation. Highly motivated and committed candidates would also be offered profit sharing and/or a partnership track.
This role is well-suited for a paralegal who is detail-oriented, dependable, and prefers autonomy over micromanagement.
To apply, please forward a cover letter and resume to office@universallegalfirm.com. All inquiries will be kept confidential.
